I think that a lot of progressive or liberal people like myself feel like you can live and let live. But a lot of the policies that conservatives are trying to push through are actually limiting us from actually living and let living. Like if you don’t want to get gay married, don’t get gay married, but like don’t inhibit others from being able to do, live the way that they want to live. Or if you don’t believe in abortion, don’t get an abortion. But don’t inhibit others from making decisions that they feel like are right for their life and their family. So I think that’s part of why it’s not just like, “Oh these are your views and these are my views,” because your views are actually directly inhibiting me from living the way that feels right to me and that I’m trying to do what I feel is right. And I don’t think they always understand that there is a moral compass on both sides and that people are doing what they think is right.
